Privacy policy
Last updated 9 October 2026
This policy explains what AI Shorts Maker ("we", "us") collects when you use aishortsmaker.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account data. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and a unique identifier, and we assign you a display name.
- Content you provide. The topics and scripts you submit, the settings you choose (look, voice style, length, tier, visibility) and the shorts, beats, picture briefs, images and transcripts that result.
- Billing data. Purchases are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer identifier, plan status and credit balance. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage data. Pages visited and basic device information, collected through privacy-focused analytics without cross-site tracking cookies.
- Safety data. Reports you file, creators you block, and records of content that failed moderation.
AI Data Processing
To provide the service, AI Shorts Maker sends your text, images, video, and other input to third-party AI platforms for processing. These platforms currently include Google, OpenAI, and Replicate. They process your input to write beats, generate narration, transcribe audio, generate images and video, and check content against safety policies. Each platform handles data under its own terms and privacy policy, and we only share what is needed to complete your request.
How we use information
- To make, store and serve your shorts and to show them in your library.
- To display shorts you mark as public in the showcase and on their public pages.
- To manage credits, plans and purchases, and to respond to support requests.
- To moderate content, investigate reports and keep the service safe.
- To understand how the service is used and to fix problems.
Public content
Shorts are private by default. If you switch a short to public, its video, poster, title, topic, narration and your display name become visible to anyone, may be indexed by search engines, and may be shown in the showcase. You can switch a short back to private or delete it at any time; copies already downloaded by others are outside our control.
Storage and retention
Rendered shorts and their beat images are stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and served from our media domain. Your content is kept until you delete it or close your account. Moderation and report records may be kept longer where needed to enforce our terms. Temporary files created during rendering are discarded when the render finishes.
Sharing
We share information with the AI platforms named above, with Stripe for payments, with Google for authentication and hosting, and with our analytics and search providers, each only to the extent required to run the service. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Your choices
- Delete any short from its page or your library.
- Switch any short between public and private.
- Manage or cancel plans through the billing portal.
- Request a copy or deletion of your account data by emailing [email protected].
Children
Accounts are for people aged 13 and over. We don't aim the service at younger children and don't knowingly keep their data; if you believe a child has made an account, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest revision; continued use after a change means you accept it.
